GoldDealerGuide.com is an independent publisher covering the gold IRA and precious metals dealer industry. We research and review the companies that sell gold and silver to American retirement savers — their fee structures, account minimums, buyback policies, storage arrangements, and reputations — and publish our findings in plain English.
The site currently includes in-depth reviews of the major gold IRA companies, a library of more than fifty guides covering rollovers, fees, custodians, tax rules, and scams, and a free gold IRA fee calculator that estimates what an account will actually cost over time — the number most dealer sales reps prefer not to lead with.
Why this site exists
The gold IRA industry has a marketing problem: it runs heavily on fear, celebrity endorsements, and commissioned salespeople. Fee schedules are often hard to find before you're on the phone. Markups on coins vary enormously between dealers selling the identical product. Some companies in this space have faced regulatory action for exactly these practices.
At the same time, wanting some physical gold in a retirement portfolio is a perfectly reasonable position — millions of investors hold it. What's missing is a resource that treats readers like adults: what things cost, where the traps are, and how the companies actually compare. That's the job of this site.
Our position on gold itself: we review companies, not the investment thesis. Whether gold belongs in your portfolio — and how much — is a decision for you and, ideally, a licensed financial advisor. Nothing on this site is financial advice.

How we work
Our research draws on publicly available sources: company fee schedules and disclosures, Better Business Bureau records and complaint histories, consumer review platforms, regulatory filings and enforcement actions, and the companies' own published terms. Reviews are updated as companies change their pricing, minimums, or policies — and when readers flag something we got wrong, we correct it and note the update.
